STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2007-06-05 (Week 23)


INSTRUMENT AND SPACECRAFT STATUS

* All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal, except that the Ahead
  spacecraft is currently operating on IMU #2.


DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS
-------------------------------------

Week 22 (last week)

* Day 145: Station 26 equipment problem lead to late acquisition and
  resulting data gaps on Day 143 from 14:58-22:46 UT

* Day 150: SECCHI software version 5.03 loaded onto Ahead and Behind.
  During this time there was a brief (about 3 min) loss of fine
  pointing.

* Day 151: SECCHI synoptic data buffer on Ahead filled leading to a
  data gap.

* Average daily SSR playback during the week was 6.0 gigabits for Ahead
  and 7.2 gigabits for Behind.

Week 23 (this week)

* Day 156: Messenger flyby of Venus. This should not affect STEREO
  operations.

* Day 157: (Wednesday) There will be a test of IMU #1 on Ahead. The IMU
  will be powered up and left in diagnostic mode. It will not be used to
  operate the spacecraft.

* Weekly command load for Ahead will be sent up after the IMU test, on
  Thursday.

* Day 158 The RT battery trickle charge rate on both spacecraft will be
  adjusted to C/150

* IMPACT team has requested commanding time for Behind this week.


Week 24
* No special operations

Week 25

* As of June 22 STEREO will have met its minimum success criteria of 150
  days collecting science data from heliocentric orbit

Week 26
* A test of new autonomy macros is scheduled

DSN

* Upcoming launches which may affect the DSN schedule
  DAWN - 20 day launch window opens June 30.
    Launch contingency schedule should be available by next week.
  Phoenix launch window Aug. 3-25
  Selene scheduled for launch mid-August. For this launch DSN is a
    backup for Japanese system.

Other
* PLASTIC team has finished DPU Software testing. They will talk to the
  MOC in the next couple weeks about sending that up. Load will take
  about 10 min. The software will be loaded to both spacecraft,perhaps
  with a gap of a few days between the two.
