STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2011-12-06 (Week 49) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 48 (Nov 28-Dec 4) * On day 332 (Nov 28), during the DSS-63 support for Ahead, no station monitor data were received for the duration of the support. Later in the support, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0908z. These anomalies resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N107777 and N107792 for more information. * On day 333 (Nov 29), during the DSS-63 support for Ahead, station monitor data was delayed 78 minutes beginning at 0525z. Later in the support, turbo decoder lock was lost intermittently beginning at 0540z and again at 0709z. These anomalies resulted in the loss of seven frames SSR data. See DR# N107793 for more information. * On day 335 (Dec 1), during the DSS-25 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1727z due to high winds at the Goldstone complex. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N107794 for more information. * On day 337 (Dec 3), during the DSS-34 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 0147z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of three frames of SSR data. See DR# N107799 for more information. * On day 337 (Dec 3), during the DSS-55 support for Ahead, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1021z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N107800 for more information. * On day 333 (Nov 29), the 19th SECCHI stepped calibration for Ahead, for aphelion, was re-executed as the first attempt on day 299 (Oct 26) acquired no COR1 images due to ground scheduling error. * On day 334 (Nov 30), MOps permanent macro release 1.1.13 was loaded to C&DH EEPROM on both spacecraft. This release added an autonomy rule to protect the main bus voltage during the annual battery conditioning event. * On day 332 (Nov 28), during the DSS-63 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1612z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N107795 for more information. * On day 335 (Dec 1), during the DSS-63 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1808z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. See DR# N107796 for more information. * On day 336 (Dec 2), during the DSS-63 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1641z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of two frames of SSR data. See DR# N107797 for more information. * On day 336 (Dec 2), during the DSS-15 support for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 2109z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of one frame of SSR data. A DR has been requested. * The average daily SSR playback volume was 4.9 gigabits for Ahead, and 4.9 gigabits for Behind. Week 49 (Dec 5-11) * A second data flow test with the ESA reference station was just completing at the time of the telecon (Dec 6). The test was quite successful. A MOC software upgrade allowed the decoding of frames with the private annotation field = U. Both realtime and SSR playback were accomplished over IONET. Commanding was tested successfully. Test tracks have been scheduled for week 51. Passes will appear in the schedule with ID numbers 32 for New Norcia in western Australia, and 62 for Cebreros, Spain outside of Madrid. Frequency authorization is still pending for the ESA stations, so the first passes will be downlink only, with one-way Doppler. This is okay for STEREO. Authorization may be available by February. * A battery discharge cycle on Behind is scheduled for Dec 8, 14:00-14:18 UT. The entire operation will take just over an hour. * Ahead has 70 meter passes on Tuesday, Dec 6 (D63), Wednesday, Dec 7 (D14), Thursday, Dec 8 (D14), Saturday, Dec 10 (D14, D43 at 720 kbps), and Sunday, Dec 11 (D14).
