STEREO Weekly Meeting Minutes for 2013-02-05 (Week 6) ANNOUNCEMENTS ------------- * None INSTRUMENT and SPACECRAFT STATUS -------------------------------- * All subsystems on both spacecraft are nominal. DISCUSSION AND OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS ------------------------------------- Week 05 (Jan 28-Feb 3) * On day 032 (Feb 1), during the DSS-26 support for Ahead, the command bind was lost for one minute at 1708z due to a communication glitch. See DR# G113662 for more information. * On day 033 (Feb 2), the SSR science partitions on Ahead filled as follows: SWAVES (Part 13) reached 100% full at 0348z for 6.3 hours. SWAVES (Part 13) reached 100% full at 2225z for 1.6 hours. The primary cause was the accumulated shortage of track time throughout the week. * On day 034 (Feb 3), the SSR science partitions on Ahead filled as follows: SWAVES (Part 13) remained 100% full at 0000z for 16.7 hours. IMPACT (Part 15) reached 95% full at 0226z for 14.3 hours. PLASTIC(Part 17) reached 95% full at 0453z for 11.9 hours. The primary cause was the accumulated shortage of track time throughout the week. * On day 028 (Jan 28), during the DSS-63 track for Behind, turbo decoder lock was lost briefly at 1634z. This anomaly resulted in the loss of two frames of SSR data. See DR #N108621 for more information. * On day 028 (Jan 28), the 48th momentum dump on Behind was executed successfully at 1715Z, which imparted a delta V of 0.073 m/sec. * The average daily SSR playback volume during the week was 3.5 gigabits for Ahead, and 4.0 gigabits for Behind. Week 06 (Feb 4-10) * Bind testing will be performed with the new ESA station at Malargue, Argentina (D84), on Tuesday, Feb 5, between 18-20 UT. This test will be carried out for both Ahead and Behind, but will not involve the actual spacecraft. * A test of the Turbo 1/6th encoding of the beacon telemetry will be performed on the Behind station in conjunction with an antenna at APL between 18:30-20:30 UT on Thursday, Feb 7. This is to test the ability of the APL station to decode Turbo telemetry. * Ahead has 11 passes during the week, and overall coverage is even. 70 meter passes are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 5 (D63), Friday, Feb 8 (D14), and Saturday, Feb 9 (D14 at 720 kbps).
